Highlights for 2011

 

  • In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the meet, the Baldwinsville XC teams will sponsor an open 3 mile race as the first race of the day. While this race is open to all non-scholastic runners, it is specifically targetted toward alumni and friends of the Baldwinsville cross country program. Entry forms and additional information for the Open Race.

  • Due to problems in previous years caused when coaches submit entries after the official time and date that entries close (Tuesday,September 20th this year), we have instituted a $25 late fee for any school that fails to enter their runners by the entry cut-off.

  • We will continue to offer TWO varsity races for both boys and girls to increase the competiveness of all races.  Entered schools, as of Wednesday, September 22nd, will be divided up into two equal divisions based on school enrollment.  Race assignments will be posted on bvillerunners.com on Wednesday evening, September 22nd.  

 

  • Races for the small school division will be held in the morning, while the races for the large school division will be held in the afternoon.  JV races will be held in the middle of the schedule.

 

  • Coaches may pick up their team packets containing race tags for their runners beginning at 8:45 AM in the Results/Awards room in the classroom facing the finish line. Complementary refreshments for coaches and bus drivers will also be available in this area. There will be no formal coaches meeting. Late arrivals may pick up their team packet in the results/awards room when they arrive. Race tags should be distributed to the individual runners and then pinned to the FRONT of a runner's jersey.

 

  • Team and individual results will be compiled using pull tags.  Complete results will be posted within 20 minutes of the conclusion of each race in the school windows facing the start/finish line and will be posted on the web at Bvillerunners.com at the conclusion of the meet.  Coaches will NOT have to collect and/or compile team results.
